.NAME Domain Names

Launched in 2001, the .NAME generic top-level domain name extension is the single TLD planned for personal web pages only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are famous by. At the beginning, solely 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to buy john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Existing 3rd-level domains remained active.

Through our company, you can buy your dot NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to edit the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization code from the current domain registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been done. There are no specific stipulations on who can reserve a .NAME domain name, but in order to keep the idea behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.
