A catch-all feature that is activated for a given email mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. To state it differently, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any mistyped email address under the same domain, you will get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be crucial in case you run a company, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filtering software in order to get only real emails in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Hosting
Configuring a catch-all email mailbox will be very easy in case you have a hosting with us. You can enable this option through our advanced, albeit intuitive Email Manager tool, which is an essential part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will administer your shared hosting account. You’ll find all the mailboxes that you’ve created enumerated alphabetically and next to each of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly let you know if a certain mailbox receives all the emails pertaining to a given domain or not. With one click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature whenever you want. If there is active email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you will get a warning from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your consent.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The catch-all feature can be enabled without effort if you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll see a small-size logo handily located directly next to each one of them. With just one single mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable the feature through the context menu that will surface. In case any of the conditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will warn you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
